Read Across America Day 2024: Date, History, Significance
Every year, March 2 is observed as Read Across America Day, which is a day to celebrate our favorite activity. In 1998, The Day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) to support kids excited about reading. It falls each year on the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss. The day marks to read of one of his famous tales, such as One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

The National Education Association (NEA) started an initiative called Read Across America since 1998. On this day, Teachers and group organizers can share their ideas on the NEA’s website.
